Maui Retreat | 2025
Last Summer, a group of women gathered on the island of Maui for six days dedicated to something many of us rarely give ourselves:
Space. Space to rest. To breathe. To reconnect with ourselves outside of the roles we play and the responsibilities we carry.
Our theme for the week was Sacred Pause—an invitation to step away from the noise of everyday life and remember what it feels like to simply be.
Together, we shared morning movement and meditation with Erin Perez, nourishing meals prepared by a Lotus Chefs, healing sessions with Jade Lotus, meaningful conversations, and plenty of unstructured time to wander, nap, journal, or simply watch the ocean.
One of the most transformative experiences of the week was our empowerment photo sessions. What began as nerves often became something entirely different: confidence, freedom, self-acceptance, and the opportunity to see themselves through a kinder lens.
But as with every retreat, the most memorable moments weren't always on the schedule. They happened over coffee in the morning light. During late-night conversations. In the laughter shared between women who had arrived as strangers and quickly became friends.
There was deep rest.
There was joy.
There was healing.
And there was the quiet reminder that we do not have to earn our worth through constant productivity.
By the end of the week, no one was leaving as a different person.
Instead, they were leaving as more of themselves.
That is the heart of Persephone Unleashed.
Not transformation into someone new, but a return to the magic you already carry.
As we prepare for our upcoming gathering in Scotland next week, I find myself reflecting on the women of Maui with so much gratitude. They helped shape what Persephone Unleashed is becoming: a space where women can exhale, be fully themselves, and remember that they were never meant to carry the world alone.
